Are You A True Devonian?
Kerr_Avon - hunting stray apostrophes and gutting poorly parsed sentences Posted Mar 22, 2007
I remember standing (pissed up) at the bottom of St. Paul's after a meet, informing my companiosn that 'It's just so bloody tall. It's like four All Saints on top of each other'. Repeatedly. Until they got fed up and dragged me to the Tube station.
Too much sky? You'll love Devon then....

I'm not really here Posted Mar 22, 2007
I'll be looking down most of the time - Fred's a nightmare and I have to keep a close eye on him.

I'm the same, Kerr - I find London very claustrophobic. Seven million people in one place is just excessive, and with all those damn buildings all over the place it must be virtually impossible to see a good sunset.

It is. For the first 12 years of my life I had a secret wish to see a horizon that didn't have the ocean as the bottom half.
Only seven million? There are 11 in NYC. I thought London was larger.

New York is a bit bigger, isn't it? I don't think it's by that much, though - I suppose it depends where you draw the boundary. The odd thing is that I went to Bombay/Mumbai a few years ago, and it didn't seem half as big as London.
