I don't know what to say. I just...Oh look, I'm not even going to bother. Read it for yourself, as words fail me.

"...a shadowy group has contacted him with an offer to help solve the UK's economic problems...
Lord James claims the group, which he referred to as 'Foundation X', has more gold on hand than all the world's bullion reserves combined."
"This is too big an issue. I am just an ageing, obsessive old Peer and I am easily dispensable, but getting to the truth is not."
I think the only bit of his speech that has the ring of truth is the bit where he says:

I love the bit about the gold reserves...he starts waffling on about an article in National Geographic 12 years ago and the Vatican Bank, and how Foundation X have more gold than anyone realised had actually ever been mined in history...

Which would just bring down the value of gold immensely if it hit the market, wouldn't it?

I did a little checking on this gentleman's story. Fascinating. Some people in the US were speculating about the organisation Lord James was referring to...
Its address appeared to be Filene's Basement, a discount fashion store in downtown Manhattan.
