Jedi Shoe Trick

What kind of shoes do Jedi wear? Did Luke wear the same type of shoe in Return of the Jedi, even though he wasn't wearing the normal Jedi outfit? Why doesn't Yoda wear shoes of any kind?

Maybe Yoda doesn't wear shoes because it is extremely difficult to find tridactyl shoes on an uninhabited planet, maybe.

But Jedi clothes are (presumably) home spun. If he can make robes and things on Dagobah (how do you spell Dagobah?) why can't he make shoes too? It's not like he walks much, considering his legs are only about 15cm long.

Maybe Yoda feels uncomfortable in shoes, they could make his feet sweat. It is concievable that Yoda doesn't like having stinky feet.

maybe he likes feeling the dirt under his feet, or the swamp for that matter. Maybe having shoes makes him feel seperated from nature and thus the force

Perhaps the pain of the sharp stones on the ground help him keep in tune with the force

Perhaps Yoda, being mystical, can float centimetres from the ground and therefore doesn't need shoes.
Did you ever think of that?
Myriad.

I would spell the planet on which Yoda dies as Daygobah - i think?
Seems strange once you come to write it down.. hmmm

perhaps the jedi know of the "shoe event horizon' that was in the original h2g2 radio plays and thus avoid shoes whenever they can

That would be interesting. Luke Skywalker vs. the Footwarrriors. Is "Footwarriors" really one word?

Anyway, in the Star Wars novels and reference books, Yoda's home planet is spelt Dagobah, so we can assume it's right. He probably doesn't wear shoes for the same reason hobbits don't, there feet are evolved not to need them.
