I owe you an apology. I'm now grandfather to three gorgeous grandkids who are the absolute apples of my eye. I would be heartily offended if I thought anyone was insulting them as you thought I was insulting your daughter. I was wrong and I was the lesser man not to see it at the time.
I hope you accept my sincere apology in the spirit in which it is given.
