Oscar Wilde^^^
Anyway as the title suggests I'm either going to talk about genius or work. And we all know I'm a genius so I'm going to talk about work.
I wanna quit my job. After 8 months spending my saturdays getting shouted at for minimum wage I'm getting sick of it, so I want to leave. Missing parties, not having the free time to do anything and having to work with my tyrannical boss is destroying me.
Does anyone know how to write a letter of resignation?

Well I could but since I'm still going to have to see my boss every week in semi social circumstances it might not be the smartest thing.

Jerms - a Brief flicker and then gone again. Posted Jun 29, 2005
Although most of my contracts have said I have to resign in writing, I never have. I've just told my boss that I'm going to leave and I can work for the next n weeks, and it's all been sorted.
I'm not sure if you could do the same, Job, but it sure makes things a lot easier.
Mind you, the easiest it ever was for me to leave a job was when I hung up on the boss one evening, then went in the next day and told my manager I wanted immediate payment of everything they owed me because I wasn't coming back again, and they could find someone else to cover my shifts starting straight away. It worked.

Ah I thought you'd only started recently and hadn't really got very far on it. My bad.
In that case... Job, use the letter Arisztid helped to write.

No I'm using the letter. That way when my boss reaches for the pickaxe I don't have to be in the vicinity...
If we post the letter here do you think everyone else could help?

yes i think so.
i mean i dont see why not.
i asked my dad about it. he said it should have two paragraphs. and we've said most of the things that he told me it should include. he suggests that we say she was nice to work with and stuff and thank her and the other people there...... ect....
