Just googled it, found out some interesting fact about the name Tibet.
It looks like the author of the article "Tibet - Why the Chinese are There" did not do his homework right.
In his article, he said “The Chinese name for Tibet - Xizang Zhizou - means 'western treasure basket'.“
but here are my findings:
The Chinese name for Tibet is "Xi-Zang Zizhiqu" which in English is Xizang Autonomous Region or Xizang Province.
Xi means west. Zang means the name of a minority race in China.
This province is situated in the western part of China. The province was
named after the Zang people with an adjective Xi (west) added before the
word Zang.
Xizang means the Zang people living in the west of China.
origin of the name
Tibet has had different names during different historical periods. During the Tang and Song dynasties, it was called "Tubo." During the Yuan and Ming dynasties, it was called "Us-Tsang," and starting in the Qing Dynasty, it was called "Xizang."

'Xizang Zhizou' seems to get a lot of returns from Chinese as well as Western sites. I've seen Zhizou translated at 'treasure basket' and 'store house'. 'Xi-Zang Zizhiqu' also gets a lot of returns, such as this one:

'Xizang Zhi zou' seems to get the most returns, most of them music lyric sites, as far as I can tell.
I am not trying to feed anyone anything, least of all wrong information.
