Happy Christmas to you too, it's my birthday on the 22 of dec.
Next year I can give you some more fun stuff on burning, this holiday I hope to blow a can of butane, from simple predictions we will need a fire of about 1.2 thousand deg. and it would produce a fire ball about 5~10 metres in diameter, that will be fun.

wow! how are you going to magange that without blowing up yourself or most of the surrounding area?
happy birthday for two days time by the way.

The butane explosion was cancelled by bad weather, too wet for fire, But once we get the fire burning, we will throw the can on the run, very very fast, and not return, hopefully we will have long enough to escape, but that is part of the experience.
You done any wild things with fire?

a_random_person Posted Jan 31, 2005
Nope not much happened over x-mas.
Anyway, sorry 4 taking so long 2 reply, i haven't logged in here 4 ages.
Butane explosion sounds very fun, about the best thing I've done with fire is burning various metals used in fireworks to make loads of different colours. That's really cool, have you tried it?

I have burnt Mg and Ca but not any more.
I found out about the Franz song, It is called Take Me Out, what a co-incidence hey?
Though I tried to make a firework, it back fired. It was i a plastic pot, these fuse went well, then it sort of fell over then exploded, but I was behind a rock so I was alright, though I have run out of gun powder.

A coincidence indeed!
I can't remember which metals I burnt but they went pink, red, green, yellow and two types of orange. That was fun.
Exploding fireworks sound quite amusing, although the funniest firework I've seen was a carefully set up rocket, lit with great precision, which then turned out to be upsidedown and just made a sort of splat sound and fell over.

The upsidedown rocket, what a classic.
During the weekend a friend and I made a fire, then I threw a butane canister on it (camp gas) he said it would never blow, the fire wasn't hot enough, so there we were standing watching it, then it blew up, in a huge ball of burning gas, when it blew it was so scary/exciting. I want to do it again, but with a bigger bottle!
