yep, i like gaming, although not really programming. i spend quite a bit of time on the computer but i'm mostly online rather than gaming. i've spent ages on the sims 2 recently though (yes i know that's not something i should confess to)
other interests? hmmm, i like reading, usually terry pratchett, douglas adams that kind of thing.

what games do you like, I like C+C Generals Zero Hour, Opp. Flashpoint, and if I get it, Half Life 2. As for programing, it's fun, I can teach you some simple stuff if ya want, like HTML.

I like mostly strategy games like age of empires. i've only just started playing half life 1. i thought as the second one was coming out soon (is it out now? it might be) i would see what the first is like.
what kind of stuff can you do with HTML? i really know absolutely nothing about programming so it would have to be very simple for me to understand it(me being very stupid when it comes to computers)
i should know some HTML, i think we did a few lessons on it in IT many years ago but i don't remember it now.

HL2 came out on the 14th or something near then. HL is way better than HL1, the graphics are like photographs, there soooo amaising. I have some clips from game play, but there like 100 MB each and there is no way to email them.
I have played Age of Empires, and Empire Earth, but none are as good as Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour, Zero Hour is the expansion pack. The graphics are game play and missions are alot better then Age OF Empires and Empire Earth. But it is more modern warfair, it depends on what genre of rts you like.
As for the HTML programing, I can add pics, hyperlinks add media to the page, create menu pages, so the menu is stuck to the side of the page, and doesn't scroll with the main page, unlike h2g2 pages..... and so, I have even wrote (in note pad) and .exe tutorial for HTML programming.

i've seen the graphics in HL2 they're amazing. there was some preview videos on my brothers PC gamer magazine a few months ago.
i'll have to check out C+C generals it sounds really good.
as for html i have now remembered what it is but i can't do much with it except the simple text codes and stuff. it sounds fun if you have the patience to learn more complicated stuff.

I have now finnished writing my HTML tutorial exe, If you would like a copy.
The stuff is easy, but you don't need to learn it all, the tutorial can also act as a reference libary
C+C is really good, If you get I will Give you hint if you want them, for completing missions and such.

how long is the tutorial? you could make it a guide entry, although i think there is probably already one.
i don't have a copy of C+C generals yet but maybe i can convince my brother he wants to buy it (my usual method for getting computer games)

kaiser_Wil_dritten Posted Nov 30, 2004
My tutorial is about 800 KB and in .EXE format, it's an application and could not be a guide entry, though that doesn't stop you down loading it from me, you can have it for free.
Tell your bro to buy C+C, it's very good indeed

none really, unless you count fencing with rulers, which is generally what we do in my science class when the teachers leave the room.
i did judo for a couple of years but gave up because i wasn't very good and the instructor didn't like me.

I've done Judo, and Ti-quan-do, I like cycling, climbing (serious stuff, not like trees, but cliffs and mountains). I was going to do fencing, but never got around to.

a_random_person Posted Dec 6, 2004
Oh yeah,i forgot about cycling, i like that too.
What belt did you get up to in Judo?
pop
kaiser_Wil_dritten Posted Dec 7, 2004
Green belt one mon. I have to give up as I entered my GCSE years, where work needed more attention, and at that time I was swimming for my town in area competions, never got a gold though, just a coulple of silver and bronze.
I like cycling alot, though in this weather I cannot do that much, but come summer I will do more, I oftern work up to doing 30 odd miles in an afternoon.
I also so tike pyrotechnics, burning is fun.
What about you?
pop
a_random_person Posted Dec 13, 2004
Yes, burning is very fun...
I only got up to a yellow belt in judo, that's how bad I was!
I don't do as much cycling as you do, only about 5 miles or so in a day but i only really do any sports as hobbies. i've never been in a competition, so i'd say silver and bronze are excellent.

How many pyrotechincs have you played with, I and someone else have made our own fire works, but they only blew up on the ground, they were supposed to go up. Making fire is fun, kepping them under control is hard. I have burnt my self lots of times, including having a lighter blow up in my hand, that was fun. If you turn the jet up to max, to do this you have to take off the metal cap, you can get a flame 30cm long! though the flame sometimes goes into the lighter it's self, as when the flame thing is that high the thing doesn't close
Wasn't yellow the second belt, If so it wasn't all that bad, I know some one who spend two years and only got one mon. I think it goes, orange, yellow, green, blue, brown, black.
Incase I don't speek to you soon, Happy Christmas.

lol, like the advice about 30cm flames!
i have a massive matchstick lighter which is about 40cm and if you turn that right up you get a 10 cm blue flame, which is great. one of my friends also wrote a page long essay on burning blue-tac (while he was meant to be doing IT work) and that was really funny.
yes yellow belt is the second but you can get it without competing and it took me 2 years still that was mainly because they only did the exams about once every 6 months.
Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year
