I have never been able to stomach porridge. It must be texture, lack thereof, the smell or something that stimulates the gag reflex - At least it looks the same going down as coming up.

I'm with you on porridge. What about Cream of Wheat? The texture is even worse...

Wouldn't dare touch the stuff. The closest I have got, and actually eaten is a serving of aptly named "grits" while travelling though rural Tenessee. This was actually not too bad - having a better texture than rather mucous like Porridge, etc.
But as Little Milton once sang - "Grits ain't groceries"

how about maggots. I dont like maggots. Ever since I saw a cute little bunny rabbit lying on the ground. I went to pick him up and the danged thing was full of maggots. very traumatizing. Now maggots in your porridge that would be pretty bad too wouldn't it? Barbara streisand too, barbara striesand covered in porridge would make my skin crawl.

In central Mexico they make tacos out of the Maguey worms (Those maggots you find at the bottom of some brands of Mezcal - Mezcal is a liquor like Tequila not controlled by the NOM regulations defining Tequila).
To make a taco, you fry up a few of the maggots, with some seasoning, place them in a warm corn tortilla. Fold tortilla and eat.
They are quite tasty I am told. Sounds better than porridge.

Is Barbara Streisand in any way associated with the tacos? If she is, then I will be terrified of the tequila worm tacos. Do they make maggot nachos too??

You have to make a distinction between real Mexican traditional food like this (and various other tacos made by bputting something in a soft, lightly toasted corn tortilla - folded in half), and Tex-Mex - such as nachos. Barbara would unlikely endorse or be spokeswoman for the traditional stuff but for some Tex-Mex fast food - who knows.
She would have to sing in Spanish anyway.

I very much doubt that Barbara would have anything at all to do with tacos, Mexicans, or anyone else. From what I have heard, she only shows interest when a great deal of publicity and money is involved. Taco bell couldn't come up with enough money, or, even if they could, it is quite probable that she would refuse to work with the talking Chihuahua.
