A cheeky fast entry here, written to match the style of the original Doctor Who episode guides, which I rewrote when I was a staff-member. As before, the plan would be for this to be updated when required.

Good balance so far between giving away spoilers and summarising.

Do you perhaps want to mention episode lengths (when not 45 minutes) and who plays Amy and Rory?

Gnomon - time to move on

I think that was a good summary of the last series.

Hi Smij,

The title strikes me as a little odd, since 2010 *is* the present in this time-continuum smiley - winkeye It only made sense to me when I read this thread.

And is it worth mentioning which episodes are the conclusions to two-parters? Interesting that this was (the third) 'Season 1'!

PS: just finished reading the first Short Trips, which I understand you had something to do with...

Hey Gif!

Good point about the title - I was trying to make it future-proof but that can be sorted next year when it's updated. Think it should be clear enough which eps are the second parts, but I'll look at that too.

I wrote the linking material for the first Short Trips and have a short story in the final volume. smiley - smiley

just wondering in the 2010 intro bit about the series number if it is worth mentioning 'series fnarg' as that is what Steven Moffat decided it should be called in one of his columns somewhere.
apparently it was in a print interview in DWM Issue 417 - not that I get it so can't confirm.

Indicating, I feel, a lack of concern as to what it actually was (apart, I think, from somewhere saying it is definitly not series 5 as that would lead some outlets to try and negotiate a discount or something).

Just as a little bit of DW geeky in-knowledge. Indeed, during transmission, searching for series fnarg would often turn up much more interesting spoilers and contemplations.

Final? Meaning they've stopped doing them?

Tsk, I seem to have a habit of starting reading DW book series just as they stop publishing them...

OK, that's updated now.

And yes, Big Finish lost their license to do the books, but are instead doing audiobooks.

Cheers Lanzababy - yep, think this is done.

The good thing is, once this is in the Edited Guide, it can be updated after each episode. I've got a section already partly written to cover the interactive episodes, once they're all available, and I'm sure Boxing Day will be spent updating the 2010 Christmas special. smiley - cheers

Yes we're just trialling a new 300x375 picture size on Entries. When we move over to the new redesigned site in autumn, we'll have to start using the approved BBC GVL3 picture sizes. So we thought we'd introduce them now to see what the reaction was.

Any chance we can have "landscape mode" ones as well as "portrait mode"?

There may be - we'll have to investigate. We've just been given this one standard size for now.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
