h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

*Cara hears the yelp of pain come from behind, although his mind is clouded in rage the sound of his beloved's pain echo's through his mind, he turns to see her collapse the golden hilted dagger protruding from her chest*

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

*Cara runs catching her at the moment she touches Rin's crypt he turns her to face him and holds her close, he feels her dying breath brush against his cheek, blowing gently the tears streaming from his eyes*

THIS WILL NOT BE...

*A look of pure anger suddenly falshes across Cara's face*

NOOOOOO DO NOT DIE MY LOVE

*suddenly the realisation dawns upon him, he is a god now, and he holds within him the knowledge and power that position commands. he lays Lil's body gently down upon Rin's tomb laying her next to her son he stands proudly, magestically and spreads his arms wide. He begins to glow, softly at first but growing, ever growing the light begins to take shape, a great dragon surrounds him it's eyes gliterng with power as from within the graveyard more spirits join him. the souls of a thousand dragons come to his call surrounding the bodies that lie within, suffusing them with their own life spirit*

I WILL NOT BE DENIED..

*The bodies of Lil and Rin begin to rise into the air, small lights dance around them, weave between them and pass through them, the dargon spirits standing guard over the pair begin to sing and the sky itself glows with the power infussing this area, great flashes of light split the sky and Lil and Rin's bodies begin to float gently back to the pedestal, one by one the spirits vanish, their ppower given in the name of their god they rest once more. Cara steps up to the tomb and looks down upon the pair as the air returns to normal and the cold silence of the grave once more envelops the area Cara gently touches the cheek of his beloved, stroking her hair from her face a movement from besides her catches him unaware, he looks over to see Rin yawning, his bright eyes loking at his mother he reaches over and places his hand on Cara's and speaks*

Mama...?

*She is so tired...she aches with tiredness... she can see the Golden Path.. Hear the voice calling her... she wants to sleep,just a while longer*

*Her breathing becomes more regular, and steadies...as she sleeps*

*She begins to mutter in her sleep*




The Path of Gold
is among the bones of old
Where ancient Dragons flew
and promised to renew

*Her hands are moving rapidly and Cara leaps to stop her before she undoes everything.... before she can utter the final line of the spell of destruction... her hands begin to blur and the silver glow of an active spell is beginning to stir at her fingertips*

*Cara grasps Lil in his arms, he slowly rouses her careful not to bring her back too suddenly*

*He takes her in his arms and clutches her to his chest, nuzzling his cheek gently against her soft hair*

*she can feel herself being held gently, but still she is fighting to stay... she is at peace here...until she begins to remember Cara... she smiles at her memories, such bittersweet memories... Minos too! He was buried beneath rubble of the Tower!*

*Her breathing quickens as she fights her own memories*

Lil....... </>

*Cara cradles her head against his chest he leans over and strokes Rins hair from his face*

Lil.... there is someone here who wants to see you... </>

*She opens her eyes and slowly her focus adjusts.. she looks up at Cara... but frowns at his Platinum hair.... she turns her head and is startled to see her son sitting watching her...*


Rin...??.... baby?? </> *reaches out to touch his face*


*Rin hisses at her.. and she snatches her hand back quickly*


*She begins to panic, trying to get away... *... BRENA!!

*cara looks shocked at this reaction from Rin, with a wave of his hand Rin falls fast asleep his face a vision of peace*

My Love..... I'm sorry... </>

*All her training with Minos came flooding back to her*

*She hits Cara in the middle of his chest with all her might and rolls away*

*Eyes wild with panic, she lifts the robe Tetsu gave her and runs like the wind, deeper into the graveyard*

*She closes her eyes and reaches out.. she enters a portal.. and disappears*

*Cara screams, his mighty roar echoing around the graveyard, first his life and now his love, taken from him.*

NO MORE..

*His facade wavers for a second, the brilliant sheen of his platinum scales showing on his face, he lifts his hands to the sky and dark clouds begin to swirl above him. Lightning arcs through the sky lighting up Cara's face as a bright white light eminates from beneath his skin. He begins to change his skin changes to scales, his arms and legs grow, a tail appears coiling out from behind as his body morphs into the Dragon. He lifts his head to the sky and roars. Without warning a mighty gale rushes through the graveyard picking up all those who do not belong, Cara gestures to an empty plot and a large portal opens, a shimmering vision of the castle and barracks can been seen within. The gale lifts, flowing directly towards the portal dumping all those who have trespassed uncerimoniously back into their own world*

FROM NOW ON THE GRAVEYARD IS CLOSED...

*Cara roar echo's triumphantly as he closes off the portal sealing the graveyard forever, he turns to Rin and gently awakens him*

SHHHH CHILD SHHHHHHH...
YOU ARE SAFE NOW. NONE CAN ENTER THE GRAVEYARD NOW...

YOU HAVE MUCH TO LEARN MY CHILD AND ONCE YOU ARE READY.
THEN YOU CAN CLAIM BACK WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY YOURS
THE SHADOW REALM ITSELF....

*Cara reverts back to his human form and takes Rin by the hand leading him into the great hall. He turns to look at Rin for a second and smiles as the great doors close behind them both*
