I just saw your question about your personal space in ask h2g2, and I'm going to try to find a guru for you, who should be able to sort out all your technical problems .

But also I should say that your space does appear to have an introduction, to me at least, which might mean that the problem is on your end ? I don't know much about these things, but I'll be right back with a guru .

I'm not the Guru you asked (Clive's my boyfriend and I saw you mention on his space), but I *am* a Guru, and I hope I can be of some assistance... (and Clive's long since gone to bed at this hour so he wouldn't be getting back to you until tomorrow).

I have one question: when you log on, are you talking about the login screen or when you first come to h2g2? Once you log in, your browser should be redirected to your user space.

And I'm curious - what you're saying is not your intro - do your conversations come up instead? If so, that is probably because you are using the Brunel skin (sort of blocky, black, yellow, green, and blue), which lists things on your space in a slightly different order than you see on other people's pages (the idea being that you won't read your own intro, but you *will* want your conversations, so they're at the top and your intro is at the bottom). To change skins, go to your preferences page http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/UserDetails and use the drop-down menus to change skins.

If you're having problems with the skin changing, it's probably because your browser is not set up for cookies. I don't know a whole lot about this problem, having never encountered it in action myself, but I do know that there is a way to turn cookies on and of, and it changes depending on what browser (internet explorer, netscape, mozilla, firebird, opera) you are using.

i used to have classic goo but can,t seem to get it now x
