Okay, to all my fans (all 2 of you) who know me from the "Against All Progress" series (which is still continuing) here is something completely different. It's a little short story I like to call, The Lost Prologue to Book I. This short story is what the prologue to my first Alpha Centauri novel would look like if it had one. I wrote this a while ago, I'm already almost done with Book IV. You should be abel to divine the whole tone of the series by just looking at this story. Basically, humanity, reeling from World War III, decides to launch a massive manned mission to the nearest habitable planet, orbiting the star Alpha Centauri A. Scientists have, in reality, predicted that a habitable planet could exist there since Alpha Centauri A and B are both very mush like our own sun. So, on the way a little accident with the animatter drive unit causes an uproar in the ship a few minor ideological splits. This short story takes place as the ship is nearing the new planet's atmosphere. I thought it was pretty funny, enjoy everybody!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
