Enlighten us please as to the reason why The Offspring is a terrible waste of time, because, personally, we think that you are a complete and utter idiot, and that YOU'RE as terrible waste of time, and your article takes up valuable space which could be used to write DECENT stuff, instead of a load of pants about the fact that The Offspring is a 'terrible waste of time'.
Li-Li and Mavis, the Offspring Twins!
PS. All Offspring albums, except for Americana, rule!
PPS. Ixnay on the Hombre particularly.
PPPS. Followed by their self-titled album.
PPPPS. Next comes Smash.
PPPPPS. And Ignition.
PPPPPPS. Get the point?

Offspring is a complete and total waste of time. Can you say . . . Sellout!?

Are you saying that Pearl Jam aren't sellouts??? Hmmm...I always thought that any band with any fame was regarded as a sellout band...and I know who Pearl Jam are.
Anyway, the most fun thing that a band can do is sell out...that's how they make money...if you seriously think that ANY band is in it for the "integrity" of their music, you are going to get one RUDE awakening some day!
Ever heard of Reel Big Fish? They rock, they're funny, they're fantastic musicians (MUCH more variety than Peral Jam) and they have songs all about how great selling out is...
And I just discovered Limp Bizkit and they're great too...
Don't get me wrong, I loved ten and the next one...damn, can't remember it's name!! hell
ah well...

Ah yes, that's it, Vitalogy! Remember it now...
And if I'm right, Li-Li was saying that she liked all the Offspring stuff EXCEPT for "Americana", which would be regarded as the sell-out album...

Peal Jam is not a sellout! Sellout's are bands who adapt their music so that it will be popular among almost anyone, Pearl Jam just has naturally good music, and they have never changed it to make it more popular!

As a researcher who has enjoyed and loved (almost) all of Pearl Jam's music for at least ten years, I feel I must interject.
Pearl Jam is regarded by many as the most recognised and possibly the best group of artists of our generation. They have an immense fan base, but cannot be considered to be "sell-outs" by anyone who has followed their history.
Pearl Jam have altered their musical style many times over the years, and not because they believed that the public would respond better to their new sound, but because they were progressing as a band. These changes have not always been met with a great reception. Specifically, almost all of the songs from two of their albulms ("Vitology" and "No Code") were rejected by many, who fondly remember the harder, more driving sounds of the previous albums.
Pearl Jam are actually an excellent example of what bands who do not "sell-out" are like. Here in Vancouver, BC, Canada, they fought a battle with Ticketmaster, our resident ticket distributor, over the high prices of tickets.
In response to claims that bands such as Limp Bizkit, The Offspring, Eminem and others are "sell-outs", or that their music is sub-par, I ask you..."WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!?!" Who are you to judge the merits or failings of a band? Thousands upon thousands of people like these groups...are you saying that their choice in music is wrong?
I like some of the music produced by the bands mentioned in this forum, and don't like the rest. Am I wrong to respond positively to music, simply because some people may not?
I ask that anyone who puts down another's taste in ANYTHING, including music to go and see your doctor...you might have a slight to severe case of bigotry.
P.S. Anyone who likes Pearl Jam's style of music, and hates The Offspring and other punk bands...that's just fine. You should know that Eddie Vedder is a close friend of Greg Graffin, the lead singer for the punk band, Bad Religion, and that Eddie has performed with them on several occasions, and also appears on at least one of their albums, "Recipe for Hate".
