I commend you on the amount of work you put into this piece, and it sounds as though you feel it deeply.

I cannot help but think that you must be very young, quite naive, or from an entirely different culture.

You seem to be trying to make the case that 'money is the root of all evil'. Though I could hardly be considered either wealthy, or much of a landowner (one 1,200 sq ft house), I don't see how it was any better when raiding parties of huns would swoop in to take items instead of cash.

It is not just money that is the problem, but the distribution of power as well. The strong, too often, prey upon the weak, no matter what the unit of trade.
