The American marketplace is the ultimate free-market economy. Capitalism unchecked can bring some unfortunate results, and this is one. They are selling salvation here the same way the Catholics sold it, but it's priced for the common man. As in all freedoms, though, you have to protect the people who will abuse it. Otherwise, you hurt the people who won't.

I don't believe in the cheap tackiness of the TV evangelists, (Halleluja, Praise the Lord) but it doesn't mean I can't believe in the basic concept.
