smiley - laugh Oh yes, over the years i have accumulated many hundreds of photos of dust spects, smudges, streaks, and fuzzy blobs.

Amongs all the dross though, i have about 10 pics i'm proud of- bands of Jupiter, rings of Saturn, bright, colourful starfields.. but oh my god the money i've spent on film to get those 10 or sosmiley - yikes Can't wait to start using a digi-camera on my scope, but that would require a new computer, and printer too, so not ready to spend that kind of money!

Oh hi, bye the waysmiley - biggrin Scuse me for waffling onsmiley - run

Wow~! Planets - that's cool.smiley - cool
What kind of 'scope do you have?
(I have not yet got one, so my dust specks are truly speccy!)
A telescope is on the list though... preferably one of those gyro ones.

I live in Auckland, the largest of the NZ cities, and it also comes with light pollution added free of charge smiley - sadface
My addiction to star snapping began in Wellington where I lived on top of a hill, away from the city.
What I like most about photographing the night sky, is that the film will pick up things that the eye cannot - the Eta Carinae nebula being one such thing - it must be huge, because even with my non 'scoped pictures, it is a definite red blob on the prints smiley - smiley

Nice to hear from you. smiley - smiley
