Hiya, Rich. Left you a message on "Mustard Seed's messages", but don't know if you'll find it there, so just letting you know I have!! Not making much sense, am I?

When you get your glasses, we'll make you a message box on your PS, then all your messages will go into one box/thread. It's made my life easier having one.

Ta very much Corrie, that's very nice of you. I'll have to work out the advanced ins & outs of these library terminals as I'm still not entirely sure how to cut & paste.

Another problem - the first terminal I logged onto today wouldn't allow me access to H2G2 beacuse the filter had been mucked up, so it thought Hootoo was an obscene site! Of course, the library filters aren't smart enough to stop easy access to all the real XXX rated stuff...

You did find my last message. I haven't woken up properly yet.

I went to middle school but only for two years as it was a new idea so our year joined half-way through. Had glasses as a kid for really bad headaches but everyone took the mickey out of me and I couldn't handle it, so I stopped wearing them. They were the NHS's finest thick blue plastic. Still get bad headaches, 30 years on!

If only there were trendy glasses-wearing role models on TV in the 1970s, people like Scary Spice, Morrissey, etc. But no, in the bad old non-PC days of the late seventies, the only TV stars who wore glasses were the geeks & swots like Tristram (?) the little kid from George & Mildred and the bane of my life...

I remember that little boy - he was horrible, but I felt really sorry for him.

Am fine with geeks and swats now, but have a problem with snobs! That could well be the theme of my first contribution to P.U.D.D.I.N.G. You can go there and grump, grump, grump. smiley - magic
