A couple of months ago, a friend showed me h2g2, I joined because I wanted my own web page (which I have!) but Ive just realised I havent got a clue what you can do on h2g2. Firstly:
1) How do you get those smiley face things?
2) How do you use h2g2's post thingy?
3) what the hell is a guide entry?????!!!!

Smileys - theres a page full of them which ill link soon.
Post - well just click on the reply button, away you go!
Guide enteries - im not sure which lay out your using.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/ if this is how it begins when you go on your page, look down the left hand side and you'll see a button labelled "add new guide entery". You can use them as note pads, anything you want really. They are what form the guide - the articles you get when you use the sites search engine
