I have mixed feelings about Halloween, MV - although I am of Scottish heritage, and they "do" Halloween, we generally haven't in NZ until th curse of Rogernomics (Libertarian and Bush/Thatcherite economics) and the accompanying cultural Americanisation of NZ. So, generally, I don't "do" Halloween, any more than I do Dunkin' Donuts, Burger King or Oprah! and for pretty much the same reason...

I was looking for a reference to the hill, and found this link...it contains a bit about the hill and other interesting anormalies.

My Dad took me to this hill when we were first getting to know each other, and my face must have been a picture. We had to literally run after the car to catch it

On a more serious note, it was my Dad's b'day Sunday and I still haven't been able to reach him to wish him happy birthday
I ordered a book thro amazon which hasn't arrived yet, even tho it was ordered well nigh on 4th Oct - it is a book about the origins of words, something I know he would enjoy.
I do hope nothing awful has happened and they have just gone away or something and have forgotten to tell me. I called right after I had ordered stuff from amazon to tell my stepmom that it was going to be late....and she mentioned nothing about going away.
Been trying everyday so far...ok so it's only three days, but this is unusual
