Unfortunately, my life has just gone up a notch in hectic-ness and I am not going to have the time to dedicate to this project any more. It's such a shame as it's just got started and it had such potential.
If anyone wishes to take over the mantle I will happily pass over the log in details and the emails I've received from the Eds.
My thanks to all of you who have contributed. We may not have tackled more than the very fringes of the Edited Guide, but we still managed to okay 18 Entries with the help of the Curators and identified seven that definitely need updating, two of which are being Updated as we speak by the wonderful Mina and lovely Lanzababy.
All the best,
Vip

Rather than absolutely cancel this - can we not just put it on hold? I don't want to commit to taking on something that I'm not sure I have the time for either, but I'm still interested in the concept.

That's no problem - I'm not going to delete any of the pages or anything - but I can't promise when I'll be back, that's all.

what Lanzababy said. (I too have been thinking that tomorrow I will get organised).
Is there someone who could do the following (Is this possible)?
Set up an Entry with columns
:-
The A number
Title
Reviser (shortname)
A Link to the appropriate thread (in the current TGR (PS) [U14449759] conversation)
Latest date
-:
- Sorted on A number
- extra wish: option to sort on date (- automatically reverting to A number when pressing 'Update Entry'?)
The Entry having all revisers as authors so we could amend the date when updating the TGR convo.
That way we could continue on a semi formal, ad hoc basis, with useful records being kept for use... sometime

An Entry can only be edited by one person, Rod. I think the simplest thing is to leave they system that Vip has put in place, for the time being.

There isn't a way to sort an Guide Entry like you would do a spreadsheet. The creator is also the only person who is able to alter an Entry, even if lots of people are listed as contributors.
However, I am more than happy to give you the login details to the Guide Revised if you want to update your own contributions, create your own lists etc.
What I might try to do (although I don't know when as I'm away this weekend) is to create all the pages from the spreadsheet that the Eds gave me. That way as and when people feel they can update something they can go in under the login and amend the list as and when they are able. It's not a promise though as the next few weeks I won't be at a computer very much when at home (which is where the spreadsheet is).

yeah, I was hoping, not expecting.
In which case I'll subside into the background & await a call from on high.

Hi Vip
I see you are not around very much at all - but if you pass through I would be interested in obtaining the information you have, as I occasionally get a little bit of an incentive to carry on with this project.
cheers

Thanks Vip! Don't work too hard in real life - we miss you here.
I've recieved the A numbers of all the Entries so it seems like rather a massive undertaking -
is anyone still subscribed to this thread?

I is still here and am willing to do the odd bit of work.
How do you want to go about it?
