h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

We had a wonderful time yesterday,
ST, Hoggy, Prof and me.
There also came Gina, my Hubby,
Kitty and Cheeky Monkey!


We laughed and chatted
As old friends do.
Friends we have met
Through being in Hootoo.


No pomp and circumstance.
No airs and graces.
For when at the Prof's
He bring smiles to our faces.


Thank you Prof,
For this I know,
We enter your home
And leave with a glow.


As the title says, this was not a Meet. It was a meeting of true friends, Hoggy and his family were on their way to stay with family in the Yorkshire Dales - the Prof's home was a nice stop off point halfway through their journey. ST had been unable to come through at Christmas, but was now fit enough to travel. Me? I will take any opportunity I can to visit my 'Big Bro'!

The girls were a delight, as usual. Kitty is growing up so fast ! Cheeky Monkey had me feeling her 'Shoulder bawns'.. I said they were her budding wings. Shortly after she proved it, when she 'flew' into my arms at the sight of the neighbour's Dijon, when they came to visit! She has a slight fear of dogs, and was up in the air and across the short space in a flash!

ST and Hoggy inspected Meg. Hubby and Prof inspected Vista on his PC (I wasn't impressed with it)

It was so nice to see Gina too. We all laughed at her budding addiction to Jewel Quest - It seems Hoggy has had to install it onto his Dad's PC too!

Sitting, standing or sprawled on the floor, everyone was at ease. It was a shame to break it up and get back into the cars!

There were s, s and s galore!!



Can't wait for next month!!!

Hootoo Meets are great fun, but I must admit the true friends I have here are absolutely marvelous.

Even though I can only meet Bel during her visits to the London Meet, it is still MORE than a Meet to us!

I'm not sure where you are, but if you ever plan on calling into the UK, let us know and we can sort something for a day or evening where you will be able to meet up with some of us
