Okay, some of you are going to wonder what the heck I am prattling on about and others are already in the know

Today, I saw my Consultant Neurologist to discuss my MRI scans from November

Now, some three years ago the same Consultant had advised that I require to have my entire neck stabilised, but having already had two procedures in that area, I was a little itsy bitsy too scared to go for a third (hides under Rob the Carpet)

Yeah.. call me a coward!

Anyway, last Summer.. (I think it was) .. I fell on the stairs (something I do quite regularly) .. and everything sort of 'cracked'. The local A & E were not too keen to order x rays as "it will probably frighten the living daylights out of us" "You would be best advised to contact your neuro surgeon"

.. And so.... back to today!

Now, instead of advising me to have C2 to C6 all fused up.. he said that nothing will now prevent the pain from that area anyway.. He also said that the spinal channel has narrowed further from the scans taken 3 years ago.. So he is going to operate around the "root nerve" to try to alleviate the numbness in my left arm and hand (still no mention of it helping my numb feet and the feeling of my legs being wet) ..

So, hey ho!!.. Lil will be having her op in early May..

After all this information , lil required some tlc es and es and lots of s from her Ponte' friends.. so, drove Hubby and Vicki Virago across the Pennines to visit Prof Animal Chaos and his neighbour Nightgroover.. where I was thoroughly spoiled for a couple of hours..

..And my nice new car is a dream to drive but it will insist on going faster!!

Now I must ask Daddy to make me a tray for the laptop.. so I can come into hootoo whilst on bedrest!!

I know, it's really not the same thing at all, but I know the way days and weeks seem to crawl by sometimes too... that happens to everyone.

Why is it that when a person is in a hurry, everything around them seems to slow down, and when they are trying to do something slowly, everything else seems to speed up? <- That's sort of weird seeming, isn't it?

Not forgetting a whole wagonload of es!
