A Conversation for American Slang
southern slang accurate?

I am a 50-yr old woman living in Alabama, and for what it's worth, I've never heard most of the expressions listed here that are attributed to the southern US. So perhaps the entries are useful for understanding the expressions if you hear them, but don't expect them to be widely understood if you try to use them yourself. (In contrast, I have heard "coke" used to mean any kind of carbonated beverage--it's illogical, but language often is. And Bubba is in fact a very common nickname).
