Here are some suggestions for entry into the American Slang, from the tractor-trailer driver's tounge:

Hammer Down: to drive fast
Hammer Lane: typically, the left-hand or passing lane.
Smokie: police officer.
Bear: police officer.
Countie Mountie: police officer.
10-4: conversation over, or, I understand.
Good Buddy: originally this was a type of term of friendship. In later days, however, it has changed to mean Homosexual.
Beaver: a woman.
Pickle Park: a rest stop with bathroom facilities.
Lot Lizard: a prostitute that frequents Truck Stops and rest stops.

That should be enough to start...

Seat covers as in "Did you see the seat covers in that?" Meaning a pretty woman

bone box = ambulance

bear in the air or eye in the sky = sheriff(police)chopper.

handle is what you are called or nickname (real names are not used on a CB)
