If 'phat' really is an acronym, it would be 'pretty, hot, and tasty', not 'pretty, fine, and tasty' as listed in the article. Also, it isn't applied exclusively to women, but also to parties, concerts, clothes, raves (particularly raves), music, etc.

You are right. But PHAT actually stands for Pretty, Hot and Temptin', not Tasty. Then again, words evolve, so it probably depends what part of America you go to. Also, it isn't only used to describe beautiful girls. Any cool things can be PHAT. Cars, places, etc.
