To Cheerful Dragon.
I thought I would just comment on your work so far, home page, writings generally etc...
Not living that far from you myself (Hunt End, Redditch) I would just like to say that there is a certain association in Redditch that only allows members who drive with their heads up the back passages to join. Both the McDonalds Island and the HotShots Island tend to attract the lesser spotted twirp, a quick, strange creature with no eyes, no sense of direction and the social skills of a plank of beechwood. I sympathise with you, and look forward to the day when I might come across a careful driver, who might actualy turn out to be your good self.

Diet risks

Cheerfull dragon, just read about your diet plans.
Don't diet too much and make sure your food contains enough vitamins and minerals. Why I say this? My girlfriend didn't took enough vitamins (but did drink alcohol which destroys vitamine B1) and now she has an alconeuropathy and believe me that ain't something nice. You wouldn't wish that on your worst enemy...
If you want to know more about that read my entry on alconeuropathy http://www.h2g2.com/A213436 (if you don't drink leave out the word alco and regard this as a general warning about getting too little vitamin B1).
Really wish you well getting your weight down. Try exercising. You burn away the weight and build up a good health, also you can eat anything you like without worrying about calories! You won't have to fear the famous yoyo-effect.
For myself: wish I gained some weight.
So maybe you don't want to read the next line:
I eat and eat and eat but it won't stick to my body and I really can use some. My current diet involves 500g chocolate bars every day, steak n eggs for breakfast, etc. My bankaccount suffers most from my diet (about 300 british pounds a month on food)
Key: Complain about this post
