Peter,
I didn't want to upset you, but I did think it important for you to see that it was Bob's words not mine and that Bob was the one who fought in WWII. I have great respect also for people like yourself who help out oters with their research and questions. Too often museum curators and archivists have no time to give ordinary people or act very aloof, as if dealing with the general public were a slight on their academic careers. Now that I am slightly older I do get a smidgeon of more respect - it wasn't the case when I was a teenager and then undergrad. So anyway, if you feel upset please don't be. My trouble is I like to use emmotive language maybe. Anyway, apoligies,
I will still send you my article because I'd like to see what you think,
