In all cases REMOVE the full stop. I had to put them in to stop the smiley command activating. For example cho.c should be entered as choc, between <>

Thank you Peter but you realise you have opened Pandora's Box.
When tincan Tommy who according to a certain Lady Toured around Italy in his open topped tracked bus. At the same time inflicting painful problems on the young virgins while the real soldiers were in Normandy sees this, burgers and cake will be flying all over the internet.
Us lads who had lids are pulling our heads in and battening down. I dont fancy being hit by flying Hotdogs.

They are all from here http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/C858 on h2g2 BBC pages, but the above are the only ones (apart from the Seasonal ones) I can get to work. The remainder require GuideML code.

Dear Friend Frank,
You have made my day, that is what you and my other friend, Peter have done for me. If I was younger and slimmer I would jump over the garden gate! Whee!
You will not believe this... I've forgotten how to do a Smiley! Just take it as read until I spend another week on it.
Cheers, hic!

Dear Elvira,
Do what I do lower the bars on the gate, "Oh" and a few less Champagne bubbles too otherwise you may take off towards the moon.
Print the smilies and then you can refer to them anytime.
Glad we made your day,
Regards Frank.
Success Again?

and black mark for me... I don't know how to do one of those!
Tell me boys?? How would we manage without a sense of humour?
I am going to watch TV now and maybe have a brandy!
Great fun talking to you.

My only regret is that I did not have these icons to liven up the text of my dissertation...
Actually, that's not as silly as it sounds, considering some of the beasties in the margins of the old manuscripts, come to think of it!
cheers,
carey

ODYSSEY Posted Oct 21, 2004
Oct. 21. Dear Peter, The only way I can send you a note is to go via a discussion you had with Frank .F.i.. I wonder whether you straightened out the mess caused by the BBC? ruining the correspondence of the "Flowers".I was out for about 4 days and when I returned I couldn't find any previous letters-natter acc. to Frank.-I was lost.,did not know what happened.
But I have an idea that you and Frank came to the
rescue.
Thanks again. This connection is important to me since I live alone and I met some nice people:ROB alias anak- bandung is one of them.We are both from Holland and were born in the same city :Bandoeng(Java).
She spent WW2 in a Jap. concentration camp and I was the 5 years under german occupation.
And you in Italy.
So, thanks again Peter.
Regards, Josephine -alias Odyssee-.
