Nah it's got large screws which are worn down and unfortunatly most of them have washers around them so i cant grab them with pliers. I sorta need them to not be worn down really.

I don't know mayb a very small strong pair might do it but it's hard work for somehting to do every month or so. Occassionally the allan key goes in at an angle and works quite well.

interesting.

did i tell you i killed my bunk bed?
no, i dont think i did.
it was a total accident. stupid cheap bed
as i'm sure you all know by now, i've moved into my garage room. and i was going to bring the bunk bed with me. i had lovely plans for making curtains to go around the outside, and sleeping on the bottom. it was going to be great! i even bought the material! however in actul fact the bed didnt really fit in the room, i could have made it but it would have had to go diagonally and it would have taken up all of the space.right through the middle of the room. so in the end i decided on my nice little bed that i had when i was younger. anyways.... somewhere between taking it apart upstairs, bringing it down stairs, reassembleing it, and taking it apart again and bringing it back upstairs the metal sitky outy things that hook into the two ends of the bunk bed on the upper thingy (bit you put the matress on) broke off. i think one came off complely, and two are practically twisted right off. *sigh* so no, i wont be sleeping on the top anymoresmiley - sadface. oh well. the bigger problem is what am i going to do with the pile of fabric that is sitting upstairs in my room? its been months, and i still havent got any ideas... so do you? because i could sure use them....

i've changed my mind.
i've decided that maybe i'll make a duvet out of it....but i'm still not entirely sure.
but when i finally do get around to sewing it, if theres enough left over then i'll be sure to send it to you.

Post 33

Arisztid Lugosi

oooh...
well... actually. it shouldnt be all that hard, at least i dont think so.
i think if i could sew the cape a duvet will be a piece of cake.
i think my biggest problem will be with the decorative fabric. it can only go on one side, because it would be all scrachy and uncomfortable to sleep with, and it has to go on top of the black... so i dont really know how it'll work out. but i guess we'll see.

If you do that side first you can sew it from the inside, fold it over at the top (if it's big enough rather than sewing it), turn it inside out sew the sides, attactch a bottom to it I dont know poppers or whatever and wala you're done.

Post 35

Arisztid Lugosi

i found that very confusing..... but thank you.

i plan to sew the two pieces together first, so that they stay together. and then i'm going to sew the ends of both the top and and bottom of the duvet. and then i'll put right sides together and sew the top and the sides. and then i just have to put the snap things on it and i'll be done.smiley - smiley
smiley - erm or at least thats the plan...
