Thank flip. I was furious last year when the whole Lewis Hamilton engine trouble thing happened during an ITV break and we had to have the commentator explain it all to us afterwards.

The only thing about the BBC is if there is a spectacular crash, will they let us see as much of it as ITV would? Morbid? Moi?

I'd like The Chain to be the theme tune too. It's still the F1 theme tune to me and the current ITV one is frankly awful. Mind you, anything Moby has done is awful anyway

When I hear The Chain I always think of F1

I'd like to hear "The Chain" too but judging by recent BBC title-music efforts ("Life On Mars", "Torchwood", "Ashes to Ashes") they'll probably use something electronic, tuneless and forgettable.

I'd put money on them using a nasty dance remix of "The Chain", like they seem to do with all their "classic" sports themes.

I think there will be an outcry if the 'Muck About' with The Chain

I quite like the themes to Ashes to Ashes and Life on Mars

So do I, I really enjoyed Ashes to Ashes, probably because I remember 1981 the first time round

I was alive but I don't remember much about 1981, but my dad is big on music so I grew up with the soundtrack anyway

My daughter likes to watch TOTP2 sometimes, she's already asked me to copy my Queen CD for her and she's got my Beatles CD's at the moment
