Hi there Michael, good to hear from you.
A PhD is quite hard, isn't it, original research from what I've heard? Hope you do well at it. 
You seem to be a scientific-type person. I did science when I was at school, Biology and Physics O levels, but gradually changed my focus when the job market dictated it 
Nurse -> Medical admin -> General admin -> Information admin -> Information degree. See, there is logic to it. 
Interesting life? I suppose so, but that's all down to lots of co-ordinistion between between my uni mates, the RGU:Singers' members and my other half. Your life can't be that dull, with all those sports, hobies and travelling?
