h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Reality is looking much better, me having gotten somewhat more busy. The weather has improved matters greatly, too, having come over all summery on us, again. The skies are clear and blue, the clouds are white and fluffy, and the sun is beautiful in the way that only the Australian sun can be...!

I started the Fitness Instructor's course, which has been interesting for the one session we've had so far. Lots of sporty people in that class, including a small part (they're all small, I guess...) of the Australian gymnastics team, who missed the Olympics because of debilitating injury, and who wants to maximise the value of her ‘down time'. I'm learning at breakneck pace about body structure and muscle physiology, and re-learning how to cope with life in an institutional setting. Interesting. The ride home last night convinced me that I probably need to get a bike light, though, which I'm not so happy about.

Tomorrow I'm being part of the removal team for a friend of ours who's moving from Tuggeranong to Womboyne (?), which will evidently require much of the next couple of days. Also interesting. We've been promised food and sociability in abundance, as well as a surfeit of hard work, but it sounds like a good deal to me...!
