Inspection completed at 11.00am today. We passed, although the age and decrepitude of the house was noted, yet again. The place is falling down, frankly, and the agents, it seems, are aware enough of this to allow us to do things like make our own repairs to holes in walls, in the knowledge that we can't really make them any worse. I took the opportunity to sign on for another 12 months of the same rent, which is a relief - I wouldn't want to pay any more for a place like this! I also asked the agents to deal with our trashed letterbox, which the agent representative agreed to do. I'm still shaking with adrenalin, although I was civil to the agent, I think.
Good things haven't started happening, yet. If anything, the good things which looked like they were going to happen have been obscured by some fog of misapprehension. I'm confused and concerned, but I can't really say or do anything until gym tonight...
I'm so bored I think I'll try and do my tax return...!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
