Sunday afternoon. The weather has turned from its early sunny brilliance to an overcast and glowering, although still dry, depression. I am tired and overborne from too much Olympics- watching with Roy and H.G. The simple words "battered sav" will never mean the same thing they used to, however, so this is not all a bad thing...!
The show we watched *that was an old and dishonourable, but still effective, trick* was the ‘Body of Work' retrospective by the Sydney Dance Company, which was staged at the Canberra Theatre. VERY interesting. I had, for some reason, anticipated seeing the glorious bubster there, but I did not catch sight of him in the large crowd who attended with our - rather unusually large - party. A slight disappointment in an otherwise fabulous day...!
As usual with such gym group things, it was a more social event than such cultural excursions are wont to be, but it was worth it. My favourite gym instructor in the world also bought me a book - Joseph Heller's sequel to ‘Catch 22', the critically but not popularly acclaimed ‘Closing time' - which will keep me busy for a week or so, I suspect, which is great.
Note to self: get a life underway...! You still have a lot to do, so DO some of it!
The overcast is clearing...

Instead, bubster was getting an early Olympic night, in anticipation of yesterday's Olympic road trip to the Olympic city to do nothing particularly Olympic, but to see some friends who had flown in from overseas. To see the Olympics, no less.
We set out in the Olympic pre-dawn, ate our Olympic McMuffins and paid our Olympic M5 Toll, anticipating an Olympic nightmare with Olympic traffic snarls. Instead, the special Olympic clearways and Olympic encouragement to the Olympic public to take Olympic public transport had rendered the Olympic streets of the Olympic city an Olympic utopia.
We had a great Olympic day, saw the Olympic beach volleyball stadium perched precariously on Olympic Bondi Beach, paid Olympic parking fees in the city and joined the Olympic throng just hangin' around Olympic Darling Harbour for no apparent Olympic reason.
Olympic Olympic Olympic Olympic Olympic Olympic Olympic sunshine then Olympic Olympic Olympic Olympic Olympic southerly change Olympic Olympic Olympic Olympic Iced coffee Olympic Olympic Olympic Olympic Olympic Olympic drove Olympic Olympic home Olympic again.
Olympic Olympic Olympic. Oi Oi Oi!

Best kind, I would've thought...! Otherwise, I can only sympathise with the feeling: iced coffee...!?
