I get the feeling h2g2 is fragmenting, falling apart and regenerating - different people, the old ones getting bored and moving away, or having too much of other things to do. I wonder what's happening, but all over the parts of the world that this journal deals with the answer seems to be: "nothing."

My interest in what I'm doing is waning, too. Mind you, I'm not doing all that much, apart from writing here, so my interests are fairly easy to replace! I miss the people I used to talk to on such a regular basis, however, and no new ones have made themselves known.

I wonder...smiley - winkeye

I know the feeling hypnoman, some of the things I started a while back are losing interest for me. However somehow I keep coming up with new stuff.

Glad to know somebody's listening, DDsmiley - smiley!

How'd the big ACE day go, incidentally, when that broadcast thingy about h2g2 was on the other day...? I haven't been able to get an intelligible answer from anyone about it - or maybe I just haven't been asking intelligent questions...

I couldn't get on. But did a lot of welcoming the next day. Even DNA had problems. Apparently there were system problems minutes before broadcast, but there wasn't much mention of us, just a passing clance at the screen. However there are plenty of newbies being generated by the current Radio interviews. smiley - smiley

"Look it's me,
Much too young to focus, but too old to see..."

Well, not just yet. smiley - winkeye Interest always withers... I think what happened was that the 'old' ones became comfortable with their h2g2 companions, isolated themselves, and sort of pithered out - so that when they do get the chance to check up and see what's going on, they find themselves returning to the pages of people already confirmed 'interesting'. Or is it just me? smiley - winkeye

What's happening? Uhh... it rained. In San Diego. That's news. smiley - winkeye

I really don't feel the scathing desire I used to for the place, but I'm hoping to one day go "Gee, it's been a while since I've discussed the Chargers with some dude in Australia. And maybe I should finish that article on 'Getting the Symphony to Play Requests'." smiley - winkeye

I still wonder...smiley - winkeye!

"Scathing" desire Fenchurch? And what would your constituents say if they heard you talking like that? Besides, I don't think anyone's "isolated" themselves, either - I think they've just run out of things to say, having forgotten that almost anything can be interesting, and that it can be read in the fora months after it was actually intended...!

The rain in San Diego is probably of interest to somebody...smiley - smiley! I'll always return to the pages of people I find "interesting", too. Stop "hoping" and do it, oh Mayoress...smiley - winkeye!

Wonder about what, O Wise One? The answers to all your burning questions can be found in the Good Book... *holds out Calif of Fornia by Pat'rick Pugh smiley - winkeye*

But why? Did not everyone feel that deathly ache in the pit of their stomach upon the passage of more than one day lacking h2g2? Hmm... Could be. I'd just never expect h2g2 people to run out of things to say... smiley - winkeye

Well... got off early from work.. I suppose I've got time to kill. smiley - smiley

Just when you think no one is listening, someone warm and comfortable pops in to say, "What you have to say is interesting and important to me." Keep your chin up, brother smiley - smiley
