Just done a bit of translation for a French friend of mine who is producing guide books for English tourists; ably assisted by Monsieur Coot de la Spim. We enjoyed this one...
"The town is spread across the escarpment, washed below by the waters of the Dronne..."
Er..;well, we found it funny anyway. Maybe we are odd.
