I have spent one of those afternoons, the type that you can only spend with friends. Both entertaining and interesting but above all “lovely” It’s like that type of summer time, a warm type of sun light hitting your skin, while your dropping off into sleep after a nice beer while “not” watching the local cricket match, accompanied buy sounds of, children playing, wood pidgins, the bells of the local church, ringing out, like their on some Pink Floyd album track, your waiting for the string synth’s first D- Minor chord to start, then the guitar, sublime!
For a long time I have waited for one of these afternoons as my last one was around 14-15 years ago which I must admit is way too distant, but these ‘s things by there sheer nature are rare and therefore should be treasured also recognised for what they are! I want more of them, I need more of them, selfish of course, it’s like I’m five years old again while these “afternoons” are happening, the need for minnow fishing is rising in me!

To-day is a really nice day, weather wise. Sun is sunning and the air has a cold snap feel to it, i've just woke up to an empty house, it seems everyone has gone chrimbo shopping and its just me and the dog's (GOD BLESS'UM) so i'll finish off this and then take the dog's (GOD BLESS'UM) for a walk and get some more firewood sorted and then down the pub for a light lunch and a few beers, then a a long walk back via the common! All with the dog's (GOD BLESS'UM) of course!
