h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

OK, so earlier this year, my cat died.

Oscar, that was his name, was a bully. Well, I liked him, but he did occassionally beat up next door's boxers and well, let me put it this way, our backyard was HIS territory.

Anyway, he's dead now and we only have Cami who's afraid of EVERYTHING (seriously, when we first got our rug she jumped the border on ONE side. She was fine with the other 3, but on on of those sides, she had to jump... Idiot...)

Consequently, we end up with all the neighbourhood's cats in the yard. Mostly it's Teia from next door (people with the boxers) and sometimes we get Tess as well (people with the boxers other cat). Sometimes we get this little kitten from over the road whose name I don't know (who is also possibly the reason for Oscar's death, said kitten has no road sense and ... yeah, that's a really long story...).

Anyway, the point of this entire journal is, just before I started writing this, a ginger cat walked past my window.

WHO IS IT?!?!

So, now Cami's come up to the study... I'm gonna go investigate this cat.

As soon as Fear of the Dark is over...

Right, I couldn't see it through any of the windows.

And now my feet are FROZEN cause I went out onto the balcony barefoot.

COLD! COLD! COLD!

Hmmmm, Oscar sounds kinda like Garfield (that's my cat, for anyone who doesn't know) but I am assuming Oscar wasn't anywhere near as well, HUGE, as Garfield is.

Garfield is always beating up neighbourhood cats at night when they come onto our property... but he lets young female cats onto the property without harming them at all. *sighs* Garfield, you odd cat. Although the last time he was in a fight he actually took some damage!! *is shocked* The day after the fight we found a claw in the top if his head. Poor little Garfield.

Well, he did get fat at one stage when we found out next door was feeding him and he was gutzing all the food we gave him too... And then there was that time we put him on Clomecarn... (Actually, I have no idea how to spell that, that's the best guess I've got)

Anyway, we often heard Oscar fighting with neighbourhood cats. Usually we figured he won... I mean, occassionally he'd come back all scratched and stuff, but we didn't even want to KNOW what happened to the other cat..

The good thing about Oscar was he couldn't meow but he had this moise that he made that meant he was in a fight or something was wrong.

Also, you can't call Garfield little. He's HUGE!!! Kinda cute, but HUGE!!

Garfield is little in comparison to uhhhh.... a house. And we can hear Garfield when he fight with another cat, so we have to get up and save the other cat from him. I remember once he was fighting this cute little orange kitten, the kitten then got stuck in a tree and I had to get it down, it was really really hungry. We fed it, and kept it in the garage for the night, then the next day we went around the neighbourhood trying to find its owner. No one owned it, so mum took it to some place and assumed they'd be able to sell it 'cause it was soooo cute, but really really smelly.

Speaking of cat's buried in back-gardens,my ex-best-friend,Emma,used to live 2 doors down from me.I can see her garden from my window. Anyway,before she moved(down the street when her Grampa died)she had 2 cats,George and Sherbit.George died before I moved into the street, and was buried out the back with a cross...and Emma's Wiccan,like me.(Though she's into voodoo and black magic since we fell out and she got kicked outta Moontide...)But anyway,Sherbit was a bit of a meanie.It's his fault my dog doesn't like cats.He scratched her nose when she was a pup,and she was fine before!Now you better hope you don't come across a kitty when walking her...

So anyway,Sherbit(and the 3 fish)were buried out with George when they died,in these suitcase things - well,okay,the fish had a marg-tub each.Then this year some people moved into Emma's empty house... after we fell out,so she doesn't know them like the first lot,'cause I haven't introduced her...They're redecorating the place,and decided to see why a bit of the garden was kinda fenced off(the last people had taken away the cross).We were out,or we would've told them why,but...*shrugs*.So they dug...and got hit with the stench of the centuary.I mean,George has been dead for about 6 years!!!!

But guess what?Where most people would've taken the "coffins" and taken them to the local dump,these guys cover it back up and put slabs over it,so it looks like one of those Ancient graves,like you usd to see on Xena...that was nice,I think.And they fed Anne's cat Henrik when he came back for a wee while.

That's a lot.Shutting up now.*zips mouth closed*

Actually, we don't get Fear of the Dark, whatever that is, it's a song...

Also, the balcony is a new bit of the extension

Also, my Grandma has HEAPS of cats buried in the backyard, but we don't. Chloe died just before we started the extension and stuff and we didn't want her getting dug up, so we got her cremated, and then we got Oscar cremated at well. When I was little, just before we went to England, like a week before, Jasper had a stroke and we got him put down and we just left him at the vets, so he's buried wherever they bury them... And Cami's still alive and the kitten we're going to get isn't ahh, born or indeed concieved yet...

Sorry about your cat, Cat. I know where some real sweethearts are, but you'd have to ship them in from Wyoming!

Oscar died months ago, the point of ths journal was about that ginger cat I haven't seen since... Teia's back here again, though.

Hmmmmm...... I wonder what mum did with Brian McGee AKA Quaily McQuail when he died... *wonders*

Hee hee, and while I am here, reading about dead pets buried everywhere, my playlist decided that next it would go to Korn's song Dead Bodies Everywhere.

Our cat used to be a very big bully, but now she's old and can't be bothered, so I usually have to chase them of for her.

Danielle is going to talk in third person because she can't get her head to go back into first person mode. Danielle had completely forgotten about this thread. Why is it being used again? Danielle just read her post about the song Dead Bodies Everywhere, and is annoyed that that CD is in the car, and her brother has his Nomad with him, and her brother deleted most of the music off the computer because he doesn't want it to be wasting space, and so if it is on the Nomad, no point in having it on the computer. Danielle sighs and goes to get the CD Straight Up from her room.

Danielle rolls her eyes at herself for making that typo, and now looks for a decent computer game to play other than Yuri's Revenge because she has been playing that every day for a while now, and she thinks she should play something else.
