Cat-Eyes: No..... why.... ? Started conversation Jun 14, 2004
Right, well, I'm not sure how many countries 'There's Something About Miriam' got shown in, but over here she also got put in the Big Brother House.
Miriam, for those of you who don't know, is a transvestite. He/She was the star of a reality TV show called 'There's Something About Miriam' in which guys tried for her affections without knowing she is a guy.
And then the guys all sued or something.
Anyways, Miriam then went into the Big Brother house. The housemates had gone in before she was on TV, so they didn't know she was a he.
One guy, called Ryan, figured it out.
This was all in the paper yesterday (that's how I know, I don't watch the show).
Ok, I'm getting to the good bit.
In the paper, they interviewed Ryan's mum.
Ok, this is the climax:
She said, and I quote:
"Well, he did live in Sydney for three years..."
How amazingly self-explanatory is that! I can just imagine the board meeting at Big Brother Headquarters going something like this:
P1: "And as you all know, Ryan figured out Miriam is a guy"
P2: "Well, he did live in Sydney"
And then the rest of the boardroom nod and mutter things like "yeah, we overlooked that" and "silly us".

Odd... in the current Big Brother series over here, there's a transexual... she hasn't told anyone that she used to be a bloke; I think one or two of them have worked it out but haven't said anything...

I'd love it if someone was hiring for like a transvestite-finder job and they were like:
P1: "So, do you have any previous experience?"
P2: "Well, I did live in Sydney"
P1: "You're hired!"

Myself and a friend had an idea about how to make BB more interesting. First you make it more like 1984, with the exercises first thing in the morning etc, the evictions become more random and the inmates dont know who's going to be evicted, instead they all sleep in seperate rooms and in the night one of them is spirited away

oh and the housemates don't get to chose who's up for eviction, instead it's decided by how doesn't look happy etc... oh and of course thought crime and stuff

Speaking of BB, did anyone down under see Merlin get evicted?
It was the best show BB has ever had, and thats because it went totally wrong.
For those of you who didn't see it, when Merlin was evicted he walked out on to the ramp, put tape over his mouth and held up a sign saying 'Free the Refugees!' When Merlin sat on the couch he refused to talk. Gretel Keleen (the host) then got quite angry at the audience and treated them like she was there mother, and told them all they were being very immature.

Oh, so that's what happened with Merlin. I head something weird happened, but I didn't actually know what it was. I saw him on an ad with tape over his mouth... I thought it seemed quite amusing. I wish I had watched it.
