Hi, there. Just found your article on string theory while searching for entries on gravity. (I've just written a bit about gravity shielding.)

I think it is a concise, informative and amusing piece on string theory and would make a good guide entry but for one thing: I think you should be nominated for a Rory Award For The Most Gratuitious Use Of The Word 'F**k' In A Serious Guide Entry. smiley - winkeye

But what do I know? I'm only new here.

Why thank you. It still needs a lot more work on it before submission, and the powers that be may take umbrage to the "colourfulness" of the language, but hey, that's what they have editors for. smiley - smiley

Regardless of the use of the word F**k I think its a work of brilliance that merits an entry on my homepage. I'm listing all the people that have helped further humankind and you are one of them. I don't feel qualified to comment on your page but think you might be able to review mine. Its on Evolution and it discusses Enrico Fermi's theory of Atomic Evolution. Keep up the good work.

I'm currently in the process of editing your article (WIP at /A206867)... I'm one of the newer sub-editors (just my luck to get an article on string theory in my first batch smiley - smiley), so I'd appreciate any feedback about whether you like what I've done with the article... I probably won't send it back to the PTB for another few days, so if there's anything you don't like, tell me and I'll change it...

I *have* taken out the colourful language... I'm not entirely sure what the editorial position on this is, but I thought it didn't really add enough to make up for any possible objections. Still if you're adamant that it was better the way it was... *shrug*

Other than that, I've changed the measurements to metres 'cause physicists like that kind of thing, and I've rearanged the odd paragraph and added a bit about the Anthropic Principle... as well as changing the odd aspect of formatting to the current standard.

Anyway... I'm interested to hear what you think... and thanks for writing an interesting article!
