The History of the Piano...

Post 1

I couldn't believe there was no entry on an instrument that was one of the most influential to the history of music. It wouldn't be too hard... just a discussion of the progression from the Clavicord and Harspicord to the Piano, perhaps some of the people who made the piano famous (Chopin, etc)...

There simply must be an entry on it! Anyone up for the challenge? smiley - laugh

You know, thinking about it, perhaps I'll take a shot at it. (I'm stupid, I know. smiley - erm I post a challenge and then take it. There's no way to edit one's posts, is there? smiley - blush) If anyone wants to help me, I'd appreciate it.

HI there
Can't help much with the history of the instrument 'per se', but could assist in 20C jass piano and its main players, if that would help?
Get in touch if you need me (btw, there's no entry on Jazz at all - might have to do something about that myselfsmiley - biggrin)

Ah now Scrumph and I have been pondering this one for a while. I think he was going to have a bash at it. If you want to get in touch with him at U584581 then I'm sure he would be very happy to help you smiley - ok

Scrumph and I hope to get several entries done about the piano in general, with sight to eventually have an entry entitled "The Piano" which can link to all of the different sections. So...an ongoing project smiley - biggrin
