It never ceases to amaze me on how little there is on this subject in the Edited Guide. There is quite a lot on US Scouting, Robert Baden-Powell is only mentioned in passing in incidental Entries, without having an Entry of his own, whereas his sister, Olave B-P does have her own Entry.
Next year (2007) sees the 100th Anniversary of the Scouting movement, which was founded in GB on Brownsea Island (which does have an Entry)
The Guide desperately needs an over-arching Entry to bring all these strands together, and it would be nice for it to be completed next year.
(I was never a Scout myself, but I was a Scout Leader (of Air Scouts) for 4-5 years. My interest was primarily the aviation aspects of it rather than the Scouting aspects, so I don't feel qualified to write the Entry myself. A committed Scout/former Scout would make a far better job of it than me - but it needs to be done. )

B-Ps sister was Agnes - Olave was his wife.
You're right - we do need an entry.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
