As in, mens underwear, the UK version of the word pants.

The different types (not forgetting thongs) and different materials; advantages and disadvantages of different types and materials. ie - boxers are said to be cooler in the summer, is that so, or does it depend the material the boxers are made from?

We've got the joy of socks in the EG, so how about a male (I plead guilty of being sexist) writing an informative entry on pants.

I was one of the few people who thought that the joy of socks entry was - well - pants.

There was a serious reason for requesting the Entry, I wanted to know if it was true that boxer shorts are more comfortable than briefs to wear during the summer months, and if so, was it any boxers, or a particular material, such as cotton.

I used to work on a market stall that sold ladies and mens underwear and socks, so I know roughly what's available, but not the pros & cons of the different types.

Well, as a bloke, and in my experiance, I've never* got on with boxer shorts; Always foudn they 'ride up' particularly at the sides and back so that they become very unconfetable after a short while... Cotton is the only* matterial for underwear as it is cooler and doens't make things 'clamey', and sticky... though silk is quite nice, but I always find thats got a 'odd' feel to it (not that I've had many silk underwear items) Briefs I find comfetable (cotton), but the most comfetable thigns I've found are cotton/lycra thongs (lycra I guess is just in the elastic/lycra waist parts not the main 'body' of the mattieral) though I know many people claim thongs to be uncomfetable I never find them so each to his.... her own I guess
