Am I an "Alice"?
NPY Posted Oct 23, 2009
Oh dear. Shame bout wrong country.
Wouldn't say it's a depressing place to work though. Can have it's moments of course, but there are plenty of good things too. Thankfully our place isn't like a nursing home or whatever where everyone just sits round the edge of a room all day looking at each other. Think I'd struggle somewhere like that. It's so important that everyone is able to do things and there is activity and stimulation and people go out to meet freinds etc.

So it's pretty much an apartment but with extra support?

Kinda. We have 15 tenants in our place who all have their own flat in a terrace. It means they all have their own front door, kitchen etc. There's a seperate offfice and a common room in onother unit. It's a good idea the way it's laid out as it means everyone gets support from staff as they need, but still have their own home and privacy.

Haven't seen that film. It's a good one? Must look for it in the video shop.

it not greatly filmed, but i think they did that for effect. it's acutally not such a good movie, but the book is good...it's a really strange story.

If that title is anything to go by, it sounds like it'd be interesting.

its decent i suppose...its a really out-there movie, definately. just the type that id like. my favorite scene is when theyre singing Down town, to calm girl down when she has one of her freak outs...only because i simply adore that song.

It's a good song that. And I love scenes like that in films. Love it when someone is able to get through to someone in such a way. Really deep and challenging.

i like the book, the movie can confuse people of the actual story

Some films I find you have to watch several times to get it all. I still find when I watch some films I've seen loads of times that something might just click with me in a new way. Always fun that.

Ham can be good though. Especially the ham you get at Christmas.
