Aah, good afternoon. Well, I'm currently in the process of working on a production of a new video games show for TV. Good - involves games, hooray! and not starting work until 10.30am. Good #2. However, it ain't all fun. Being a girl (which I am!) and involved in the male dominated world of games is pretty frustrating. Most people I deal with seem to think my sex makes me a)incapable of knowing what electricity is, let alone how to connect anything with wires attached to it, and b)that they must speak v-e-r-y slowly indeed for me to understand them. Pants!
My only solace is kicking their arses at the games they represent at press launches. Hmmm. Also, finding contestants is proving more difficult than we thought...anyhow, if anyone would like to talk about Playstations or N64s or Dreamcasts etc, let me know. It'll be a valuable (and almost work-related) distraction.
Ta!

So this new show you are working on, what is it? Go on you can tell me. Is it that C4 one, or the new one that will be on Sky (which lets face it can hardly be worse then that Gamesworld show that they have), or something else altogether?

Are you going to run out an buy a dreamcast (although as you are an "industry type" you probably get one for free, as well as more games than you can actually play!) I think I will leave the DC alone, all the games seem to be straight coin-op conversions, which doesn't interest me at all. So I'll hang on to my trusty Playstation until the PS2 appears.

What games are currently giving you sore thumbs? With me its Driver (just reached NY) and Silent Hill, which really scares me, I need a short bout of Ape Escape after every SH session!

Sorry for my long delay - have been working as though Satan himself were jabbing me in the arse with a pitchfork. Well, the new show is for Sky and ain't what people have been expecting! Silly, silly games show it is, but I love it dearly! (Games Republic it be called).
Fave games of the mo: Silent Hill made me mighty afeared - until I finished it, and lo! was pretty disappointed with the end. Hey ho
Wip3out is taking up all my spare time - thank god for 2 player mode with split screen - it just makes it more fun doing battle against a mate, without buggering about with link cables and finding a spare telly.
Ape escape is funny, and good for that feel-good factor (I'm only allowed to play it alone, 'cos the boyfriend says I scare him with my evil laughing when I trap the naughty monkeys).
Now I have to go and reply to some 'potential contestants', hmmmmm, d'you fancy being on the telly then?! smiley - winkeye

Thought I'd drop by and ask your opinion on the Dreamcast too - hope you don't mind, me being a sea monkey murderer and all. My Playstation is nervously awaiting the arrival of Mulder and Scully. It will no doubt be awful but I’m bored of everything else. Will you forgive me for the sea monkeys if I confess to having a crush on Patrick Stewart aswell?? Oh, hasn't some sort of talking sea monkey related thing been developed for the Dreamcast?? Could be interesting .... at least I wouldn't be able to freeze them to death ...

Seems I'm a bit late into this conversation. I have several game consoles, because I heart video games. If you enjoyed Silent Hill you should try Resident Evil 2. Scary stuff.

I've been playing Soul Calibur on my Dreamcast since the September 9 launch date.

I also played Blue Stinger, but the ending was very lame, indeed.

Expendable's OK, but it's a bit too repetitive.

Trick style is a pretty cool game, but for some reason I totally suck at it (still haven't won a race).

As for Playstation, well, you lucky people are already playing Wipeout 3. Doesn't arrive on store shelves in Canada until November. smiley - sadface Wipeout XL is still the most replayable game I have for my PSX.

I recently decided to ruin my life by playing Final Fantasy VIII. I just made it to the third CD (of four) last night. 40 hours and counting...

Has anyone played Dino Crisis *and* Resident Evil 2? I haven't picked up Dino Crisis and I wanted to know how it compared to the RE series.
