As I speak I'm beavering away at not one, but two new ongoing features !!!

They are:-

A Mexican Gameshow...

I was intending to run it in the Post, but I'm unsure
whether to make it a 2 hour 'live' show or to post
the questions over 3 consecutive days... It would
be fun though to set aside 2 hours for more real
interaction. What do you think ?

Also, do you have any ideas as to some games
for the different rounds ?

It will be a clash between a dating game/pure
capitalist lust for money & consumer durables
quiz & a desperate grab for fame South
Americana style !!!

Also, I was thinking of also putting in the Post an
Online Version of Suvivors !!!

Over 5 or 6 weeks about 10 people will be split
into 2 groups and forced to survive major
disasters whilst trying to become a network star
!!!

At the end of every week, a Immunity Challenge
will take place & the wider community will vote
who gets the chop !!!

Hopefully, I might have the 'trailers' for them ready this week...

HAHAHAA! I LOVE the idea of the survivors article! Did you know that the whole idea originated in Holland with the show *Big Brother*. I think that we ought to leave the contestants on h2g2 in peace when they are in bed though... wouldn't like to corrupt any minors who may be about!ROFL
With regards to the quiz... I am really not sure how we could run it! Would you advertise the event, time etc, and then pose the first question in the attached forum? That would probably work quite well.
How about making some of the questions about current goings-on in h2g2 as well as more bizarre ones like how do you change a duvet cover in 30 seconds? Ironically for the next London Meet it has been suggested to run a pub quiz... this could be very good practice for those foolish enough to want to take part in that!
Oh dear... I feel a rush of graffiti coming on... I think I'll pop over to the ladies! LOL

Excellent! It looks as if you have already attracted a little attention
I think that, as the forums have already started, I will just use a direct link straight from the Post to your pages... I will have to check with Pastey first to see if it is viable anyway. If not, it would be extremely useful if you could either send me the coding through (copied straight off your *edit* page) or else I can give you the Post coding to put it on the Post pages yourself!

It has taken me 10+ to put together so I might have to let the Mexican Thing rest for a while. Just as well really because I had hoped to put a Java Applelet clock on the page so people would know when it was to run live ...(Unfortunately, you need to have the other files in the same site directory as the created page )

Although, it will probably pop up in some form down the track, as I think once people get to see it run through once, they'll be hooked...

Hello there Jasper... welcome to the more confusing side of h2g2!
Hmmm... what is this all about!
Well... I run the h2g2 weekly newspaper called the Post! I have been around a long time and have posted to some forums of a slightly risque content. God Almighty has a habit of watching me to see that I don't get into too much trouble
Matthew is starting an online version of Survivor on h2g2 and we are discussing how to publicise it and run it... don't worry, even I get confused sometimes by all the arrangements!
Is there anything you would like help with? A guided tour perhaps... some help with setting up your page?

Thanks. I am very intrigued about this Survivor thing - I have not heard of it.

Ah... well the original *Survivor* was a TV programme where a group of people were put on an island, locked away in a house, on a bus etc etc, and had to try and live together and be a useful member of the community. Every week, the watching public would have a vote and the one who lost would be thrown off the island... etc, etc.
Now... would you like to know how to do smiley faces?
