Dear Frank,
Just thought I'd leave you a message to say that I enjoyed reading your Christmas story on the front page of WW2. Brought things back to me - although we did not have all the food on our doorstep. My father did keep hens and ducks - but my sister and I wept when they were killed for the table.I didn't get a bike - but I did get a dolls tea set!!
It was a lovely way of linking the past with the present.

Dear Audrey,
I think we are on front page together then because the link is dancing. We would have made a good couple with your hat and my dancing shoes not something most men wore then, pity I dont have a photo of them.
Two of my daughters were reading the story and talking about it whilst I Held Hannah my new granddaughter and danced around the room with her earlier this afternoon. Two weeks old and dancing with her granddad I hope I live long enough to see her dance for real.

Congratulations on your new grandchild. I just have two grandchildren and no prospect of any ore but they bring me great joy. I trust you had an enjoyable Christmas and I wish you and yours a Happy New Year.

Dear Harold,
I agree grnadchildren bring great joy, I now have ten and one great grandchild. There are three boys the rest all girls who are spoilt rotten by me.
Does it make me feel old "No Way" I certainly feel blessed.
One is through University and in work three still in university and two start this year coming. All are as mad as their granddad when it comes to living life to the full but none have strayed down the path so many take into drugs and stupidity.
There is hope for the world Harold with young hard working people like them coming through, who are we to say we got it right.
I wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR Harold and many more of them.
