It's great to have you involved in this website.

To read an answer to a research request, or any discussions around a story that you have contributed, you will need to regularly log in and check this your Personal Page as you will NOT be notified by email.

To find personal messages left for you look here in the Pigeon-hole space.

To read responses to your stories or research requests:
* You can go to the contribution itself (they are listed below this Pigeon-hole space in My WW2 Stories and Questions) and look for any message threads that have been added
* You can look in the My WW2 Forums space at the bottom of your Personal Page where not only these conversations attached to your contributions are listed, but also any discussion you have joined in with or any page where you have asked to be notified of new conversations

Here are a few areas you might want to explore...

If you would like to read what other people have written about their war, or their family's war, take a look at the Editorial Desk:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/ww2/EditorialDesk

The best place to write up a story and add it to the site is here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/ww2/Contribute

If you wish to ask a question about WW2, first use the Search to discover what is already on the site, then try one of the Research Desks:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/ww2/ResearchDesks

You will also find a number of interesting articles written by the BBC by using the Search within the history pages:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/war/wwtwo/

If you need it, we have a help page that should answer some questions:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/ww2/Help

Any other queries - drop me a line and I'll see if I can find an answer for you.

Regards, David

Hi David, Thanks for the useful information on finding my way round, as you can guess I am no chicken and need all the help I can get. I will try to keep my Diary up to date with a child and teenagers view of the war. It was my formative years and the most exciting, sometimes frightening, often saddest time of my life. The whole period including the couple of years after the war is seared into my brain so there are many vivid memories stored up in there.
regards Frank.

I'm glad that I could be of some help Frank. Thank you once again for your involvement in the site. It's the vividness of the stories such as your own that highlight how important the idea behind this site is, to draw a real picture of the experiences, emotions and events people felt and saw during the war. I look forward to reading more of your stories in the future.

Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions or problems about the site.

Kind regards

David - WW2 Team

Thank you for the message, could I ask why my stories in the editorial desk always say remove, is there a specific reason.

Hi Frank

The reason you can see 'remove' is because it gives you the option to remove your story from the editorial desk if you wish to made amendments etc, it's not an indication your story is going to be removed, I can assure you!

I hope this answers your question, but if you have anymore problems feel free to contact me.

Best wishes

David - WW2 Team
