Radiation, escape or not, harmful word

Japanese gov keep saying 'at the moment' the dose of radiation is harmless for the ppl's health. 'at the moment'==>so it will effect ppl's health sooner or later in a future.
And only they will try to do is not people near the nuclear plants to worry from the influences by the radiation, they never say how dangerous it is to the people's health whereas the most overseas medias already reported the truth.

The victims of the quake and tsunami are having tough time, but people forget that animals/wild animals are always victims by the disaster, but no-one care. smiley - groan
Not only animals, but also the minority (ppl whose way of thinking is different from majority like me) are kicked out from the society. Typical Japanese.

Now, I still have had language problems smiley - grr can't type Japanese... really inconvenient for me to live here. and except for doctor/medical staff, (I do understand) can not understand my situation.

A person (to tell the truth, this time I caused a trouble, so I didn't say anything.. but) said to me on a phone, 'Thinking of your age, and it's taken tooooooooooooo longer time since you got ill, and still haven't recovered, you've lived in vain. There is nothing left behind your life',, this made more and more depressed, as I'm disparate with my life already...
This caused that I get more and more 'to refuse using Japanese' Really annoying if ppl who have mean thought say to me such a careless thing.

Luckily, as there is on the Spring holidays for kids now, I have had more chance to play tennis with my youngest friend who is good at tennis smiley - biggrin and I can forget all gloomy things, even it's temporary, it's necessary for me to forget about it and smash the stressful words out by my racket smiley - racket1smiley - tennisball

In Osaka, it's a lovely day today, the sun is shining, bit windy though.
The view from my flat window is beautiful. That's also Japan.

I wonder if I were in Howarth. Wanted to hoop around the Bronte path so much smiley - musicalnote

""Japanese gov keep saying 'at the moment' the dose of radiation is harmless for the ppl's health. 'at the moment'==>so it will effect ppl's health sooner or later in a future.""

radiation is a cumalative effect and is measured in dose/time

if the dose stays the same in time it will become un-safe

if the dose goes up then the time decreases

if it goes down, the time extends

-----------------------

in the military in a war situation

those who have had a dose of radiation are more likely to be put to work in contaminated areas, while those who are still clean are kept out of contaminated areas

the more of a dose you have had, the more likely you are to get another dosesmiley - erm

Hello Tammyusmiley - hug

Jim asks to send his regards, and wishes you well.

I find BBC sources more reliable and I hope that these links will help. I am also finding it hard to find any clear news on the progress of the nuclear plant.

Japan nuclear plant: Radioactivity rises in sea nearby.

Japan quake: Aid worker's diary.

Reflections on a fortnight in Fukushima

I am very sorry to hear that you have had such an upsetting phone and that I hope that you will receive more understanding and support.

I love playing tennis and it has been a very long time since I played but I never was very good at it.smiley - racket1smiley - racket2

Thank you for the links to the very beautiful pictures of North Yorkshire, the only parts of Yorkshire I have been are York and around Ampleworth.

A place that I loved to visit as a child was Ingram Valley in Northumberland.
